About

Condo Living has become a common option for folks in Metro Manila. With the growing number of people settling here (usually due to studies), there are limited space to actually find a house and lot.  You will need to go to nearby provinces (e.g. Bulacan, Cavite, Cainta) to purchase such.  While there are town houses available in the metro, they remain expensive especially for those who are just starting a family or has just a started an independent life.

For almost 2 years now, I have been facing challenges of living in a builiding. Top on the list is the small space -- in terms of size and other limits the space brings (e.g. fewer windows, no sunlight, organization). My other 'space challenge' is living in a rented unit -- there's so much you can do if you actually own the place (e.g. drill holes, change color of paint, etc).

Amid these space challenges, I still enjoy the perks of condo living:

  • Security
  • Availability of Maintenance Services
  • Flood-Free House (except if your neighbor forgets to close his/her faucet and water overflows)

This blog will serve as a repository of various space challenges and ways to conquer them (or at least how I remedied them).  There will be cleaning tips, organizing ideas, and the likes.  There will aslo be a section on  cooking for two.

Space challenge will be mostly about improvisation, ehem, hacking.
